We work for our high standard and our goal to consistently exceed our customers’ expectations. From your phone call to your email delivery confirmation with the actual photo, we will not only make it easy for you, but you can rest assured that our work will always reflect well on you. Our team is very knowledgeable and excellent at helping you to find a perfect solution for your needs. We do excellent extraordinary designs for your birthday, anniversary, thank you, get well, and all of the other occasions you can imagine. And yes, we do floral decorations for your special social events, weddings(big yes!), and your company’s corporate events.
Well, speaking of corporation, we also do your office, building lobby flowers weekly. So, if your company needs flowers, as any company would, please think of us as your choice. We will present your company nicely to your clients.
We get our products from all around the world including our backyard. Ask us where your flowers come from. We know the farms that we are getting every sing stem of our flowers from. We are environmentally conscious about our purchasing and managing practice. We do our majority of fresh purchase from Veriflora certified farms and local and domestic farms as much as possible.
Jeanne has the job of her dreams: florist and owner of retail shop. She works with tons of fresh flowers every day, but she never stops being awed by them (and we never stop being awed by her designs!). Her daughter, Joanne, is shaking her head watching Jeanne buying flowers from other shops when she travels. Jeanne is beloved mom of three beautiful children and a jigsaw puzzle maniac. She absolutely can't bear to watch any R rated movie (such a big baby), but loves watching iCarly, Spongebob, and re-runs of That 70’s Show and Friends. She's a mosquito magnet.
When you call in, if Bianca answers your phone, you are so lucky! She always make sure she puts her charming extra to every single design of hers. Her sharp eyes for the beautiful things and style, and trend will not disappoint you on any of your request. Habla Espanol as well!
Dennis does everything in the shop, we mean EVERYTHING. He manages our corporate accounts, signs our paychecks, fix the cooler, fix the cars, change the light bulbs, buy us coffee and donuts. He's dreaming his perfect retirement plan as carrying Jeanne's bags to her teaching trips and playing golf in between. He just bought double bass as his latest collection of instruments and working on it. He loves his three kids and loves to spoil them. Park Florist wouldn't go anywhere without him even for one day.
More than 30 years of experience as a florist, she can do anything! She is An American Institute of Floral Designers certified member and that's not an easy thing to be in. She speaks softly and gently but her flowers can be beautiful and bold as they can be. Her detailed touch on each and every floral design she creates is very special.
Originally from Maine, Jesse is Takoma Park’s own artist. He is busy at his studio preparing his art works for his upcoming exhibitions, but when he is not painting, he shines his killer smile to our customers and ready to help. Don’t be fool by his low, quiet, and serious voice tone, in fact he is full of fun!
Amharic, Arabic, Russian, and English-she’s quarto lingual! When she’s not doing her services to translate for the non-profit organizations, she is busy taking care of all the beautiful plants and flowers as well as our customers at the shop. Her warm heart doesn’t know any limit when it comes to share her love and compassion.
Our reliable transportation engineer. Devoted Christian and newly wedd. On a hot steamy summer day, he goes twice and three times to the same home trying to catch the recipient without a word. He's a true man saying “back in my country, Ivory Coast, this heat is nothing!” As a devoted Christian, he also prays for all of our souls as he delivers our flowers!
Our totally friendly driver, Papa Rene. He delivers each and every flower with his heart. Please welcome him when he brings your flowers to your home!
Here is our Prodigal Son! This shop star and neighborhood celebrity was almost lost for good last Spring. Customers asked after him for weeks; we posted signs and called the local animal shelters. No sign of him for four long months. We had all but given up hope, when – lah-dee-dah! Back home he comes. Where was he? What did he do all that time? Your guess is as good as ours as the boy refuses to comment. Today, however, we are happy to have him snug in his basket on the shop floor, sunning himself in the front store display window or entertaining the customers. Back to normal. But we keep an eye on the back door more often.
